life is moving, but i'm keeping up

It's September!  This is, by far, my favorite month, not simply because it's my birthday month, but because of the personality that this time brings.  I enjoy the foliage change, the wardrobe change, and the gust of freshness.  I used to think it was a result of the academic calendar and getting into drive mode, but 2+ years out of college and I still experience the same energy.

Anyway, I know that the next few months are going to bring exciting challenges, and I am so ready.  I'm a firm believer that we need to take risks when we are young, and conservatively (yes, I acknowledge the paradox) push the envelope. I just hope that when these changes occur, I execute to my fullest capacity.

Currently reading:  War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy and Myth of Sisyphus and other essays by Albert Camus

I'm battling between the two books as they are both extremely dense and require intense focus.  Tolstoy's writing is just beautiful, he make me want to be a writer.  Even greater, he's really introduced me to the world of Russian literature, which is fraught with political and religious references, simply amazing!  Separately, Camus is quite depressing, extremely pensive.  I'm sure that goes hand-in-hand with being a philosopher, but the channels of thought that he takes the reader through are so necessary.  I believe anyone with a convicted sense of religion should explore other areas of religion and philosophy.
